Dominic Rondinelli hit his first home run of the season Tuesday to lead the Carbon Dinos over North Sanpete 11-1.
Carbon pounded out 12 hits in the blowout. The Dinos led 2-1 going into the bottom of the fourth when they scored eight runs to push the score out of reach. Carbon added another run in the sixth to end the game early.
“I told the guys we couldn’t let up today,” head coach Brett Bennett said.
Brayden Tubbs and Colton Greener each notched doubles. Kellen Trujillo tripled in the game.
Carbon (7-9, 4-2 Region 12) will travel to Mount Pleasant Thursday for a doubleheader with North Sanpete (1-13, 0-9 Region 12) beginning at 3 p.m. The Dinos will then travel to take on Richfield Friday.
