The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary have a number of events upcoming that need community support.

The first event is the ever-anticipated International Days celebration. The DAV and its auxiliary will have a booth at the park as well as a raffle for fishing and camping gear. They will also have a five-panel canvas picture and all proceeds will benefit local veterans, not just disabled veterans.

Next, on Aug. 2 and 3, the U-Haul parking lot in Price will serve as the location of a yard sale hosted by the DAV. Donations are still being accepted to sell at the event and all donations may be dropped off on Thursday, Aug. 1 after 2 p.m. However, the DAV is requesting that no clothing is donated. Proceeds will go toward medical, in-home care and other needs that are not covered by the VA. Donations are tax deductible.

Finally, on Aug. 6, A&W of Price is welcoming the community to gather for free root beer floats. During this, donations will be accepted to benefit local veterans. Pick up a root beer float between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The DAV would like to thank Joshua Patterson and Brad Ling for the donated space in the U-Haul parking lot. For donation pick-up to benefit the yard sale, call Debbie Hansen at (435) 749-9287, Judy Roybal at (435) 299-9092 or Cathy Rummel at (435) 650-8330.
