On Friday morning, first responders and local law enforcement were dispatched to Highway 6 in Helper, in front of Pick & Rail Market, regarding an accident.
A Kia Sedona was turning onto SR 6 eastbound from Helper Main Street and pulled in front of a Dodge Dakota, also traveling eastbound, according to Utah Highway Patrol. The Dakota struck the back of the Kia, causing it to spin around into the westbound lane where it was t-boned by a Dodge pickup.
This accident found a 79-year-old female awake and breathing but injured by the airbag deployment. Only minor injuries were reported due to the collisions. Traffic was affected for about 25 minutes and diverted through Helper City as crews worked to clean the site.
