During a vehicle search over Memorial Weekend, Emery County Sheriff’s Office (ESCO) Deputy Egan Smith and his K-9 unit Deputy Dak seized a large quantity of controlled substances.

Deputy Dak alerted to several containers that contained 59 pounds of marijuana, 13 packages of THC cartridges and 19 kilos of a white powder the ECSO suspects to be either cocaine or fentanyl.

While this investigation is still under investigation, ECSO thanked their deputy and the community members of Emery County.

“ECSO is grateful for our zealous K-9 unit and the support of the Emery County-ites,” shared ESCO.
