The Castle Dale branch of Eastern Utah Community Credit Union was named as the Emery County Business Chamber’s Business of the Month at a luncheon on Wednesday.
Eastern Utah Community Credit Union started in 1959 in the basement of a Price teacher. The credit union has expanded greatly since with the Castle Dale branch opening in November of 2014 on the city’s main street. EUCCU’s expansion into Emery County brings the credit union to four locations in Eastern Utah, including other branches in Price, East Carbon and Moab.
“We serve anyone that lives, works or worships in Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan and Duchesne counties,” EUCCU President Bruce Yost said. “We are big enough that we can really provide a lot of services but we still care about the local area.”
EUCCU provides an extensive amount of services that can be completed at the local branch or online. The credit union offers direct deposit, e-statements, safe deposit boxes, loans (auto, RV, mortgage and personal), bill pay and even a mobile banking app.
“At Eastern Utah Community Credit Union, we take the credit union philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ to heart,” the business’ website shares. “You’ll see this in the way we strive to provide friendly and personalized service to meet our members financial needs.”
