Members of the Emery County Historical Society, friends, family and the community recently gathered at the Castle Valley Ranch in Emery for the annual Cowboy Poetry.
Local poets and comedians shared folktales and poetry with those who were there to listen. Others played music written by other artists or shared their own piece of music/poetry.
Local band Haywire serenaded those in attendance with western music. Band members include Jay Frandsen, Kevin Peacock, Bob Barker and Starla Davis.
Emery County Historical CDs and cowboy poetry books were also available for purchase at the event.
