The Emery County School District recently hosted its regular board meeting at Castle Dale Elementary School.
Superintendent Kirk Sitterud discussed revisions to several policies within the district such as addressing the issue of students being off campus when an emergency drill, alarm or lockdown is in place.
The board discussed approval of bids for school buses. They received two different bids from the Blue Bird dealer and decided to purchase two new school buses for the district.
Castle Dale Elementary School principal Ralph Worthen took a moment to thank the staff and the board for their support. He stated that enrollment at the school is slow but he predicts that at the end of the school year, it will be close to the same as it was at the beginning of the year. Worthen also commented that he has great faculty and teachers.
