Emery hosted its last swim meet of the year on Thursday against the Grand Red Devils. The Spartans started off hot with wins in the boys’ and girls’ 200 medley relays.
Cambrie Jensen kept things going with a first place finish in the 200 free. Kaelee Hooley won the 50 and 100 free. Touching the wall first in the 100 fly was Haley Guymon, who cut down her personal record by 1.84 seconds. She also won the 100 back. Aubrey Guymon took the 200 IM while Alejandra Garcia won the 500 free. Kayleigh McCandless won the 100 breast.
Both boys’ and girls’ 200 free relays also took first for the Spartans, as did the girls’ 400 free.
For the boys, Asher Beagley ended on top in the 50 free and 100 fly. Dax Minchey won the 200 IM while Elias Morris did the same in the 100 free.
Emery steamrolled Grand 447-270 on the boys’ side and 492-200 on the girls’. The Spartans will head to Carbon on Saturday for the Last Chance Invitational. Then they will be back at Carbon on the 22nd for regionals.
