The Emery volleyball team traveled to Delta for a match with the Rabbits on Thursday. In their last meeting, it was a barn burner, going all five sets in Castle Dale. Delta ultimately won in the end, 3-2.
This time around, set one began with a close 25-21 score, in favor of Delta, who won again in the second set, 25-22. This ended the Lady Spartans night in three sets, winning set three, 25-17.
Emery falls to 4-5 in the region standings, tied now with the Manti Templars. Ahead of them is Richfield (5-4), North Sanpete (8-1) and Canyon View (9-0). They look to shake it off and climb in the standings as the regular season nears the end.
Next up, they will travel to Manti (4-5) on Tuesday for a match with the Templars. Then, on Thursday, the Juab Wasps (0-9) visit Emery County. Friday, an exhibition match with the Uintah Utes in Vernal will take place, closing out the busy week for the Emery team.
