Looking for redemption after a 0-5 defeat against Manti at the start of their season, the Spartans hosted the Templars Thursday and took a high energy 4-3 victory over the opposing team that left the crowd on their edge of their seats.
Emery scored their first two goals in the first half, leading by a margin of 1 as the second started. The Templars, however, were able to close the gap as the second half ended with a 3-3 tie. Then, In overtime, Emery’s Guzman Egea Aguado found the net just in time to secure the Spartan’s victory.
Emery will next travel to South Sevier on Tuesday with hopes of securing their next victory.
