The Emery High girl’s soccer team hosted its inaugural game against Juab on Tuesday. The Lady Spartans started the school’s soccer program with a tie in the preseason game.
The game started fast in the first half as both teams notched two goals apiece. Morgan Hurdsman and Sarah Swasey led the way for the Spartans, each netting the ball once. The second half proved much slower as both teams were scoreless throughout the remainder of the matchup, ending the game in a 2-2 tie.
Emery will once again host on Thursday as South Sevier visits Castle Dale. Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m.
