Emery High School golfers finished tied in ninth place at the 2011 2A Boys Golf High School State Championship tournament at Palisade State Park Golf Club on Tuesday.
Emery sat in 11th place after Day One, and was one of only a few teams to improve its standing on Day Two. Emery and Gunnison finished with scores of 745.
Mcklane Allred, McKoy Allred, Jordan Fuller, Hunter Huntington, Kalen Loftley and Brandon Oliver competed for the Spartans.
McKoy Allred finished the tournament tied in 28th place overall after shooting 85 and 90 for a 175 total.
