The Emery High Future Farmers of America Chapter attended the Utah FFA Association State Convention March 13-15 in Logan. During the event, Emery was recognized with the Superior Chapter Award and 100% Membership Award.
Also during the state event, Kendra Young received first place honors in Goat Production Proficiency.
Several Emery High students received the Utah State FFA Degree. In order to receive this degree, members had to earn and invest over $1,000 in their Supervised Agricultural Experience, attend FFA activities at the state level, complete 25 hours of community service, be enrolled in an agriculture education course for two consecutive years, serve on a committee or as a chapter officer, understand and demonstrate 10 rules of Parliamentary Procedure, give a six minute speech and maintain a satisfactory scholastic record.
