The Emery High FFA milk quality and products team placed first at state judging on the Utah State University campus last week.
As part of the state competition, the members had to taste products to determine if they were dairy or nondairy, do a cheese examination and complete a number of problem inspections in the form of written tests. The team members included Josie Gilbert, Breann Benson, Ethan Staples and Korby Christiansen.
FFA members are coached by advisor Justin Thornley. The team will represent Utah at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis in October.
