With a bye week to recoup from a loss at Summit Academy on Aug. 22, the Emery Spartans could not get anything going offensively in the team’s 21-0 loss against Delta Friday night.
With the loss, the Spartans fell to 0-2 on the season. In two games, Emery has scored just seven points.
The Spartans will host Richfield on Friday for the team’s final non-region game before its 3A North region opener at Morgan Sept. 19. Both teams have a combined record of 5-0 and have outscored their opponents 140-56.
