The Emery High Spardettes competed in the 2A Region Drill Competition held Tuesday at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
The Spardettes placed third in the dance competition, fourth in military category, and sixth in character routine. Their overall standing was fifth in the North division.
Mikaela Jensen and Paytn Jeffs were selected to the 2A All-State Drill Team through auditions held previously. The 2A All-Region Team members from Emery, selected by coaches and teammates, are Mikaela Jensen, Patyn Jeffs and Aubree Rowley.
2A Academic All-Region honors from Emery High went to Paytn Jeffs and Aubree Rowley. These girls have to have a 3.75 grade point average or better and are seniors.
