On Thursday, May 6, a special Emery School Board meeting was hosted to make a decision regarding the bid for construction at Ferron Elementary.
The decision was difficult due to the recent spike in building materials caused by the nationwide pandemic. Much concern in renewed efforts of redefining the bids was also stated by the board.
Ultimately, the bid of $14,599,469 was approved. The ground breaking for the new Ferron Elementary will be on Thursday, May 13 at 2 p.m.
