Both Carbon and Emery High School drill teams wrapped up their competition seasons on Saturday at the UCCU Center at Utah Valley University.

The Emery Spardettes competed for the 2A title against 17 other schools. Emery placed fifth in the military category and fourth in kick. The Spardettes placed fifth overall behind Kanab, Manti, South Summit and South Sevier who took the win with first place finishes in all three categories.

In the 3A classification, the competition was stiff, but the Dino Dynamics put up a good fight. Although they didn’t place in the top five in any category, Carbon has still had a successful season with their pom routine that consistently received high marks at the invitational competitions.

The 3A title went to Uintah with Dixie in second Cedar in third and Desert Hills and Canyon View fourth and fifth, respectively.
