Several Emery Telcom employees underwent a two-day safety training designed to help with cellular tower maintenance.
The training safety and rescue training was a necessary step in Emery Telcom’s upcoming launch of a cellular telephone network designed to better serve Carbon and Emery counties.
Trainees learned ascending and descending techniques, knot tying, rigging systems, rope access, and rescue procedures.
The physical training was conducted at Emery Telcom’s Castle Dale central office. The office hosts one of several cell towers the company has erected in the area.
