The Lady Spartans were ready to tip-off the season on Wednesday night when North Sevier came to town. Emery had a strong first set, in which the Spartans pulled away to win it, 25-17. They Lady Wolves kept things interesting with a good comeback set in the second. They were forced to exceed the 25-point mark, but eventually beat out Emery 26-24.
The Lady Spartans did a good job regrouping after the close loss. They settled right back down and went to work, winning the next two sets 25-16 and 25-18, respectively. Emery’s first game of the season was a success as it went away with a win, 3-1 over North Sevier. Up next, Emery (1-0) will head to Manti (2-0) on Thursday evening.
