The Emery Town Council installed two incumbent council members at its meeting on Wednesday. Corinne Dalton and Pat Sundstrom will serve the town for another four years.
The council voted to increase garbage collection fees to $1.60 per can to cover the 2% annual contract increase as well as the tippage fees the county has imposed on garbage dumped at the landfill.
Council members also discussed the feral cat problem in the town. It was reported that an individual citizen will pick these cats up and take them to be neutered and return them back to the town.
Appointment of a council person to serve on the recreation district board was postponed until next month’s meeting.
