Emery Track Boys Take Kanab Meet

Last Wednesday, the Emery track and field team competed in 13-team meet in Kanab.

 

Both Emery’s boys and girls 4×400 relays won their respective events. Tambrie Tuttle finished second in the high jump.

 

Bryar Meccariello took the 800 meter and 1600 meter races. Treven Brazier and Mason Faimalo went one and two in the 110 meter hurdles. Keldan Guymon beat out Brazier in the 300 meter hurdles to finish first while Cale Allred took third and Faimalo fourth as the Spartans went one, two, three and four in the event.

 

To the field portion for the boys, Cale Allred took first in javelin while Keldan Guymon followed close behind in second. Marquies Giroux won the discus. Anthony Taylor and Mason Faimalo finished on the podium in third in shot put and high jump, respectively.

 

The boys dominated the competition with 137.5 points while Snow Canyon finished in second with 96.5. The Lady Spartans finished in eight as Panguitch finished on top.
