Extreme blizzard and whiteout conditions caused numerous accidents across the Carbon and Emery county area on Tuesday.

Two of those accidents were nearly identical, involving motorits traveling too fast for the current road conditions.

” We had two rollovers Tuesday night outside of Huntington that were almost identical,” Lt. Bennion with the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Bennion said the first accident (pictured), was just before Huntington involving a northbound vehicle.

“The first vehicle was a northbound SUV coming around the bend before Huntington,” Bennion said. ” The female driver was traveling too fast, hit ice and rolled.”

“The second rollover was another SUV with a female driver headed northbound close to the Desert Edge Christian Chapel,” said Lt. Bennion. ” She too was traveling too fast for the given road conditions and lost control of the vehicle.”

Luckily there were no serious injuries reported from either of these accidents, or any accidents during Tuesday’s storm. The Utah Highway Patrol reminds motorists to take it slow when traveling in wet, winter conditions.
