Local community member and GIS Department employee Mellissa Lasslo received the honor of being named January’s employee of the month at the Carbon County Commission meeting that took place on Wednesday evening.
Rose Barnes presented the award with two representatives of the GIS Department. She stated that it was well deserved and that she wanted to personally say thank you to Lasslo. Barnes told all that she always has a smile on her face while working hard.
“She helps us all immensely,” Barnes stated.
One representative of the GIS Department that spoke on Lasslo’s behalf could not stop commending her for all of the ways that she has efficiently made their work easier, whether it be through her own personal labors or finding better-suited technology. He also expressed that he would not be able to thank her enough.
