Cottonwood Elementary School recently had a special week to celebrate and teach the values of kindness and friendship. Friendship Week proved successful for teachers and students alike at the local elementary.
Friendship Week was sponsored by the PTA. There were multiple events that went on during the week, including Manners Day, Compliment Day and Smile Day. There was also a special etiquette luncheon that took place. The students were served their food and were taught how to have proper table manners.
According to Principal John Hughes, the week was very beneficial and the PTA did “an amazing job.” Hughes also wanted to give a special thanks to lunch lady Mindy Crawford for her willingness and support.
