Community members gathered at Huntington City Park on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to enjoy the festivities, booths and food at the annual Huntington Heritage Days celebration.
The baby contest and Huntington’s Got Talent were hosted on Wednesday along with dinner in the park and entertainment from the Val Jensen Band.
Thursday’s entertainment included kids’ games and competitions, an ice cream social and a horseshoe tournament at the Huntington rodeo grounds. Entertainment was provided by the band Localgrown under the city park pavilion. The evening ended with the kids’ bike parade of lights and fireworks.
The fun run competition started Friday’s celebration followed by the Fourth of July parade on Huntington’s Main Street. The Jessie Funk band provided the afternoon entertainment and the “color me fun” took place at the Huntington Elementary field.
Lawn mower races were held at the Canyon View Junior High football field along with a volleyball tournament. The festivities ended with the fireworks display by the softball complex.
