Huntington City celebrated their annual Heritage Days on Wednesday with an all day celebration.
Although the morning started out with a lot of smoke in the air from the Seeley Fire, the smoke didn’t linger long, and the day quickly transformed into a clear, hot day. The festivities started early, with breakfast at the park followed by the parade. Many people gathered to watch the parade, which consisted of floats including Miss Heritage Days, Miss Emery County, EHS marching band and many others.
Following the parade, the celebration moved to the park where many booths were set up with food and shopping, bounce toys, rides and several other forms of entertainment.
Other activities included a hypnotist named, Mont Dutson, lawn mower races, В bands playing, and a horseshoe tournament.
Audience member, Jennifer Taylor, described the hypnotist performance “Mont Dutson Hypnotist Extraordinaire was great!”
Later in the day, the Haywire Band performed in the park.
The night concluded with a community party of fireworks at the park under the supervision of the fire department.
