The Tony Basso Group and ETV 10 News hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Carbon County at the Tuscan on Tuesday.
The election night event was well attended by community members and dignitaries alike. Congressman Jason Chaffetz was in attendance and donated $1,000 to the cause in partnership with doTERRA, a Utah County based essential oil company.
“We love the Boys & Girls Club…..enjoy the dinner tonight.” Chaffetz said in a brief address to attendees.
Many local politicians who were awaiting to results of the polls attended the event as well. State Representative Brad King briefly spoke about the difference the Boys & Girls Club has made in the lives of many young people in Carbon County and encouraged everyone to donate to the club.
Prior to the event, Castleview Hospital donated $2,500 to the cause.
The night raised over $16,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Carbon County.
“We are blessed to live in a community that always helps those in need,” commented Tony Basso, host of the evening.
