The 36th annual Greek Festival Days went off as planned despite the heavy rains Carbon County experienced.
“I think the rain helped, rather than hurt us,” said Connie Hamilton, Public Relations Director of the festival. “It cooled things down, and we had the pavilion to keep everything dry.”
Hamilton reported that even with preparing approximately 25 percent more food this year, it still sold out. В She said they were able to sell over 150 of the “express platters” during lunch on Friday. The platters will be offered again next year.
“The dancers were spectacular. They were extremely polished.” Hamilton said.
