Wednesday night was another exciting night at Green River High School as first the Lady Pirates played the Pinnacle Lady Panthers and later the boys battled the Panthers.
It was proof again that the Lady Pirates have a great team this year. В By the end of the first quarter the score was Green River 18-6. В By half time the score was 34 to 8, Green River. В It was a very exciting fourth quarter as the Lady Panthers scrambled to catch up only to be thwarted by the Lady Pirates with a final score of 57 to 21.
Unfortunately, the next game was not as triumphant for Green River. Nevertheless, it was a very close and exciting game to the end. В The score at the end of the first quarter was 25-23, Green River, but by half, Pinnacle took the lead 42-35. В By the end of the third quarter the score was 61-55, Panthers. В The fourth quarter was quick paced as Green River tried to bring the odds back in their favor, but to no avail. Panthers took the win 79-76.
On Friday, January 25, both the Green River boys and girls teams play at home against Whitehorse.
