The citizens of Green River and the staff of the Green River Medical Center came together last week to celebrate the grand opening of the new pharmacy and an addition of a second dental suite to the medical center.
The ribbon cutting took place in the afternoon and recognized many people that came together to make the pharmacy a possibility in Green River, including the pharmacy team of Cam Willford, Zack Taylor, Shlisa Hughes and Shanon Thurston.
The new pharmacy will feature a new system called TelePharm. The system allows customers to speak with a pharmacist via video chat to double check prescriptions, dosages and to ask questions. This system makes it easier for the community to get the better healthcare that the medical center is striving for. The nearest pharmacy before the opening in Green River was a one hour drive away.
The celebration also included snacks and tours of the medical center.
