The Castle Dale City Council hosted a ground breaking ceremony or the new city building on Tuesday morning.
The building will house offices for the Emery County Water Conservancy District, Castle Valley Special Service District and Castle Dale City. The building will be located on the corner of 100 East and Main St. in Castle Dale. It will have entrances on the east and south sides of the building.
Parking will be located on the south side of the building. It will be set back to allow for green space and commemorative Seely benches on the north side next to Main Street.
Brubaker Construction is the general contractor for the building. Local businesses, Wall Contractors from Orangeville and TSL Construction from Cleveland will be handling the dirt removal and concrete work on the project.
This building has been highly anticipated, as both the Water Conservancy and Special Service District needed more space. As Castle Dale City Hall is more than 100 years old, the building has been deemed unsafe. Combining the three entities will be advantageous for all.
