Helper Middle School Competes at FCCLA Regionals

FCCLA members from Helper Middle School traveled to Provo Wednesday to compete in region STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) events. Members created projects with a focus and purpose and presented them before judges at the conference. Twelve students from Helper Middle School competed in the event.

TKiah McArthur, Gentrie Hansen, Kaylee Leffler and Emma Holm all competed in Promote and Publicize FCCLA and brought home a silver. Ella Anderson also received a silver medal for her project in Recycle and Redesign. Aubrey Vigor, Makaela Kinder and Stella Feik competed in Food Innovations and earned silver.

Hannah Maddox and Izabelle Pugliese received bronze for Sports Nutrition. Brylee Campbell and Shontae Herrera also received bronze for their projects in Focus on Children.

Those who qualified will compete at the state leadership conference on March 20-21 in Layton. They will also attend leadership sessions and FCCLA workshops alongside FCCLA members from around the state.
