Helper Middle School (HMS) eagerly presented to the community their rendition of the well-loved classic tale “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, which is a play adapted by Richard George from Roald Dahl’s novel.
This story follows a young Charlie, who joined countless children in the search for a coveted golden ticket to win the chance to tour the factory, ran by Willy Wonka himself. Charlie and his Grandpa Joe begin the tour, quickly learning that all is not as it seems within the facility.
An impressive amount of HMS Rams were part of this production, putting on a show to remember. From narrators to cast members to Oompa Loompa’s and more, there was no shortage of fun on the stage of the Rio Theatre.
This production, directed by Mrs. Ison, was hosted from March 20 to March 23, with two chances to watch the production on the final day. Special thanks was given to sponsor and technician, Kenny Driggs.
“We also want to thank Mayor Lenise Prettyman, Helper City Council, Mrs. Vasquez and many other teachers and parents who helped in so many ways,” HMS shared.
