During a Huntington City Council meeting in August, a sidewalk improvement project was approved. Crews set up outside the mortuary in Huntington, working hard to make this project a reality. The new sidewalk will connect Huntington City to businesses such as Head Start and Gordon’s Nursery and Floral, located on Bridge Road.
Currently, crews are blocking off one lane of traffic where they are working. This will allow workers to lay sidewalk. When complete, the sidewalk is coming along nicely with the stretch of sidewalk completing the connection.
Once complete, the sidewalk will allow pedestrians to walk safely without fear of traffic rumbling along the nearby road.
