Gagon Family Medicine gladly opened the doors of its new office in Huntington on Monday.

Retta Willson was the first patient seen at the new location, which is a renovated space on Huntington’s Main Street. The building offers 7,400 square feet, which was converted to offer nine exams rooms as well as an x-ray room, on-site lab and a highly anticipated drive thru pharmacy.

Nurse Practitioner Donna Mathis welcomed the office’s first patient on Monday morning. Mathis and the entire team at Gagon Family Medicine will be seeing patients Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Daily lunch closures take place for 12 to 1 p.m. and 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays only.

While there are no immediate plans for the Huntington branch to offer urgent care services, availability of medical services will be a priority.

“We do always make every effort to get people in when they are sick, to get them seen when they need to be seen,” said Gina Gagon, Practice Administrator.

If patients require service outside of regular office hours, Gagon Family Medicine’s Price location will still aim to fill the need seven days per week during its urgent care hours.
