Karla Medley was placed in the spotlight on Wednesday evening as she was announced as the Carbon County Employee of the Month for December at the commission meeting, making her the final employee of the month for 2019.
Medley has worked in the Carbon County Recorder’s Office for 19 years. Carbon County Human Resources Director Rose Barnes stated that she has been recording for just over 1.5 years.
“She does an amazing job in that office,” Barnes stated.
Denise Knowlden is the fellow employee that nominated Medley and stated that she relies on all that she does. Carbon County Attorney Christian Bryner also took the opportunity to state that their department relies on the records that they make available on their system, as well as the accuracy. Bryner remarked that Medley is always quick to respond to his requests and finds what is needed fast.
“You won’t find another small county with a recorder’s office as fast and efficient as ours,” stated Bryner.
He concluded by stating that he believes that the public knows that as well. Commissioner Casey Hopes echoed Bryner’s statement and all of the commissioners thanked her. Medley’s photo and name will round out the plaque found at the county administration building for the year.
