The Carbon Lady Dinos took a home matchup against American Leadership Academy 72-19 Tuesday night, notching their fourth win in six tries in Region 14 play.
The 53-point margin of victory was the largest since Carbon beat Orem on Dec. 1, 2016, 63-6.
The Lady Dinos sunk nine three pointers in the game, tying their season high set back on Dec. 8 against Palisade, Colo. Jordan Bianco accounted for five of the threes, en route to 15 points. Kelsey Sorenson, who led all scorers in the game with 17 points, connected on one three. Abbie Saccomanno, 11 points, hit two more. Kaytlyn Cripps had the other three pointer in the game. Makenna Blanc also scored a career-high 12 points in the contest.
The game was never close, with Carbon leading 32-5 after the first quarter of play. By haltime, the Lady Dinos led 51-9.
Carbon (10-5, 4-2 Region 14) will begin the second half of region action with a road tilt at Delta (6-7, 3-3 Region 14) on Thursday. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 6 at 7 p.m.
