The CarbonLady Dinos faced off against North Sanpete High School on Thursday.
Looking for a win to be named Region 12 champions, the Lady Dions lost the match after a total of four games. North Sanpete won the first two 25-18 and 25-20, after which Carbon took the third with a final score of 25-23. The fourth game ended in North Sanpete’s favor with a score of 25-11.
“I’m really proud of the way the seniors have responded,” expressed head coach Christen Johnson in talking about the season as a whole.
Sara Morely, Mallorie Bradley, Jordan Scoggins, Abby Robinson and Alex Thayn were all honored as part of the team’s senior night as well as Giulia Malzicini, a foreign exchange student who has played on the team this year.
The Lady Dinos will travel to UVU this Wednesday and Thursday for the 3A State volleyball tournament. Carbon will face off against Dixie at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
