Kim Johnson, Katie Basinger and McKenna Sorenson powered the Carbon Lady Dinos past 5A American Fork Tuesday afternoon, 13-2, to remain unblemished on the season at 3-0.
In three games this season, Carbon has beaten two 5A schools. The Lady Dinos scored 11 of their 13 runs in the final three innings, six of which came in the top half of the seventh inning.
Johnson hit her first career home run and Basinger nailed her fourth career triple. Sorenson picked up her second win of the season in the circle with both wins coming against both of Carbon’s 5A opponents. She also notched a double at the plate.
Carbon (3-0, 0-0 Region 12) will travel to Pine View (2-4, 0-1 Region 9) on Thursday.
