Softball season is right around the corner for the Lady Dinos. Carbon is looking to build on an impressive year where it went 20-7 and ended fourth in state.

The Lady Dinos have their sights set on becoming region champs and cracking the top three in state this year. They will have to pass a good Juab team and state runner-ups, Union, to claim the region. Grantsville remains a power house and is expected to make another run to defend its state title.

Seniors Dakota Draushaar and Kaytlyn Cripps along with sophomores Lyndsey Madrigal and Brooke Mooseman are all returning to lead the Lady Dinos. Draushaar pitches and plays first, Cripps pitches and is an utility player, Madrigal plays third and catcher while Mooseman will pitch again for Carbon.

“Our girls worked hard in the offseason. We are looking forward to a good season,” said head coach Wade Williams. “We’ve seen improvement from every player. We are excited.”
