After Emery scored their lowest team total last week, the Emery High girls’ golf team bounced back with the highest team total of the season.
The ladies nabbed a total of 140 team points. Grand followed behind the Spartans with a total of 113 points, Manti, 53, Gunison, 42, and San Juan, 39.
Sydnee Guymon had the best round of the day, posting a three over score of 42 points on nine holes. Lainee Jensen scored 36 points, Tajiah Price, 33, Sarah Swasey, 29, Sydney Timothy, 29, and Erin Oliverson, 22. The top four individual scores where then combined for the outcome of the team’s total.
Emery took home the top three spots as well. Guymon was first overall, Jensen second overall and Price third overall from all five teams competing at the meet.
This week’s match was played at Mountain View golf course, which will also be the site of the 2A state championship on May 17.
