Lady Spartans Clutch Against Wolves, Sit Alone in Third Place in Region


Bailey Huggard allowed just four hits and an earned run in the Emery Lady Spartans’ home win over the North Sevier Wolves Tuesday afternoon in Castle Dale.

Entering the game, both the Spartans and the Wolves had .500 records, Emery at 3-3 and North Sevier at 4-4. Emery took sole possession of third place in the 2A East standings with the win.

Morgann Donaldson led Emery with three RBIs on two singles. Ambree Bennett went 3-4 with a couple of RBIs. Madisyn Alton had two hits as well.

Emery (12-7, 4-3 2A East) will travel to Salina on Friday for another matchup with Wolves (9-7, 4-5 2A East).
