Emery headed down the road to play South Sevier on the diamond on Thursday.
The Lady Spartans hit one run home in the opening inning but then gave up four-unanswered runs. Going into the sixth down 4-1, Emery cut the lead to two before the Lady Hawks added two more for a 6-4 advantage.
The Lady Spartans started a rally in their final at bats and pushed across two runs. With runners on the corners with two-outs, Emery was unable to complete the comeback and lost 6-4.
Ambree Bennett went 2-3 with an RBI while Taleigh Price also had two hits and an RBI in four tries with a double.
