On May 30 through June 1, some Carbon and Emery athletes traveled to Wasatch High School to learn from coaches and former wrestlers with excellent credentials. The day started out with strength and conditioning, followed by the morning session, lunch break and afternoon session.
The athletes from Carbon and Emery were Brookleigh Unsworth, Dazi Thatcher, Madison Arroyo, Lily Clark, Emma Parker, Gaby Bencomo, Addy Lee, Dorothy Clark and Farrah Parker. Many of the athletes wrestled in high school last year and will continue to do so. With the others excited to start wrestling competitively in high school competition.
The Clinicians of the event started with Jake Short, who is the GVSU Women’s Head Coach, 3x NCAA qualifier and 4x Minnesota State Champion.
