Carson Martines of Carbon High School and Oakley Toomer of Emery High School have been invited to the 2019 Scotland Junior Golf Invitational, which will be held in July.
This is an exclusive match play competition between American All State teams and elite international teams. Athletes receive the opportunity to play top-level, international competition on some of the most historic and beautiful courses in the world.
It is not often that high schools athletes have an opportunity to travel and compete internationally while learning of a different culture. This will be one of those opportunities for Martines and Toomer. They will spend time learning about the culture and history from members of these historic clubs. The pair will be playing the same links courses where champion golfers have learned and competed for over 200 years.
