Price City Engineer Russell Seeley spoke to the Price City Council at a recent meeting and asked the council to award a total of three bid schedules to Terry Brotherson that will take place in Price during the year.

The project, totaling over $1 million, is split into two phases, Seeley explained. The first, dealing with culinary water, is located on 400 South and will stretch from 400 to 700 East. The process of repairing the pipeline, reburying it and remodeling the road could start as early as mid-April, according to Seeley, but is dependent on the schedule of the contractor.

The second half of the project, dealing with sewer and a storm drain, is slated to begin after the school year ends as it is located on 400 North from 300 to 600 East, which would create an inconvenience for those attending Carbon High and USU Eastern.

Council member Terry Willis motioned to accept the bids, which was seconded by council member Kathy Hanna-Smith. The motion passed with a 3-1 vote.

Both projects should be completed by the end of the summer.
