Late Friday afternoon Price City Police Captain Bill Barnes isssued a press release in connection with an incident at Castle Heights Elementary School back in January.
On 4-19-13 at 1700, Cody Rand Armstrong, DOB 12/29/84 was arrested for witness tampering.
This is a 3rd felony, relative to an incident that occurred at Castle Heights Elementary School on 4/11/13. The current incident relates to a previous incident that Armstrong was arrested for that occurred on 1/25/13.
The original incident was occured back in January when Armstrong went to the school to pick up his step children. No children or staff were in danger and no one was threatened by Armstrong at the school. Castle Heights has not been on lockdown at any time since then for any reason.
On April 3 Armstrong was arrested and charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, a second-degree felony, one count of impersonating a police officer, a class B misdemeanor, and possession of a weapon on school property, a class A misdemeanor. Armstrong appeared in front of Seventh District Court Judge Douglas B. Thomas. Bail was reduced from $300,000 to $3,000. He was able to post bond and was released
