A sore first quarter set the tone for the rest of Friday’s nonregion action that pitted Pinnacle against Rockwell and ended in a 45-23 loss for the Lady Panthers.
Rockwell opened the game by scoring seven in the first and keeping Pinnacle from putting any up. The lead continued into the second, with an ending score of 15-2. Pinnacle found its drive in the fourth, scoring a game-high 18, though it wasn’t enough to take the win.
Senior Bobbie Syrett led her team during the action with six points put up throughout the game. Kaysha Dunegan-Clegg and Stephanie Sasser also manged five each.
The Lady Panthers’ next chance for redemption will come on Thursday as the team hosts Altamont. Varsity action is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
