Saturday at the Emery County Fair was full of laughs and a quite a few squirms as well.
Besides the unveiling of the Emery County Miners’ Memorial in the morning, events such as the Happy Spotlights Talent Show, Kangaroo Show and a Fear Factor entertained those in attendance.
The talent show highlighted several local community members’ various talents and abilities. Fear Factor, emceed by Amanda Paiz, gave a number of brave fair-goers the chance to win a cash prize as well as tickets to the fair’s rodeo. The iron-clad stomachs made their way through eels, mealworms and other delicacies on their way to the top before one was named as the event’s winner.
